There are enough review of Palio diesel and I was not in a mood to write one. But here I am to highlight its features which others have not mentioned.
Well, car is not enthusiastic for racers and speeders who want to get a kick out of driving. It?s a very comfortable, economical and safe family car which will give you trouble free ride for many years.
Other than its features, for and against, mentioned in other reviews, remember it is the safest car available for the price of 5 lac.
In lower price band, this is the only car with ABS and front Air bag. Seen lots of collisions and death on Mumbai Pune highway. After seeing esteem colliding head on with zen on the side, at palm beach marg, Belapur - both the doors of zen were pushed inside by 1 mtr killing its only occupant instantly, I decided to go for a robust car.
In my search for a good safe car, read reviews for the cars available in India and searched data on it world wide. Fiat Palio was best rated in safety world wide within the parameters of 1) Cars available in India 2) A lower price tag.
On one of the site I saw frontal collision test video of Palio. It was amazing. Only its bonnet cover buckled and no damage to the chassis. Then with side impact rods in its door, I was convinced that it is strong enough to take side impact and save its occupants.
Palio qualifies as best small car for its safety features, than anything else. Palio petrol is not so economical to run with costly petrol and low mileage, so I settled for Palio diesel with ABS and Airbag.
My advise, think about your safety on road and then decide. Palio is a good car available in lower budget to give you a safe ride. Next such safe car is Octavia, but it is twice the cost of Palio.
