Facebook.com(FB) is undoubtedly the best and popular social networking site in the world. It was founded by Mark Zuckerberg and his friends on 4th February 2004 at Menlo Park, California, United States. Since then it has been ruling the social networking world. It has subsidiaries like PrivateCore, WhatsApp Inc., Oculus VR and Instagram.

I have been using Facebook for last 6 years. The features are useful, trendy, logically created. Some of the unique features of facebook are:

• Friending: You can send another facebook user a friend request

• Newsfeed: The users are exposed to content posted on the network

• Timeline: It is a virtual place where all the contents of FB users is organized and shown.

• Wall: It is the original profile space where FB users’ content is displayed

• Reactions: Described by FB as a way to “give positive feedback and connect with things you care about” users can “like” contents such as comments, photos, videos, status updates etc. posted by friends.

• Message and Inbox: You can send messages to your friends and receive the same in your inbox.

• Notification: It shows if something is added to your profile

• Groups: You may create groups of similar people or of similar interest

My personal experience has been good. Through facebook I could locate my lost friends, connected with alumni associations of my school catch, university batch etc. It is very easy to use, highly informative and full of entertainment. One can promote his/her business, new products, events etc.
