Usually almost all the reviews are based on the quality of the products or their service problem. But no one intimated the huge price difference between well reputed showrooms in Bangalore and local vendors. I would like to share my experience I had in past 5 days. After going through all the reviews, I decided to purchase Faber Chimney. So I went to a big show room near Indiranagar and had a look at Faber CF 601 SS. They said that there is a Diwali offer - in purchase of this model, I will get a 4 burner cook top free and the cost quoted was Rs. 7490.00. As it was little bit higher than my budget and I already have 4 burner cook top, I did not go to buy it on the spot.
While checking through the website, I noticed that the same offer was hosted in a particular online shopping website and the cost was Rs. 6990.00. I also found that closer to my house itself 3 small vendors are selling the same product. So I decided to check with them the cost of the product without any offer. To my surprise, all of them quoted me Rs. 5990.00 with the same offer. With one seller I explained that I already have a cook pot so I wanted only chimney. Out of 3 sellers, one guy accepted to give only the chimney for Rs. 5000.00. After bargaining with him, I finally got the product for Rs. 4700.00.
I am not saying that every time for all the products we will get such a good rate. But what I am trying to say to all is before purchasing any products, please check with several suppliers and please do not check the rates only with big showrooms. All of us are running out of time due to this we even don’t think of compare the prices from different suppliers. But if you spend maximum 1 hour, you can really save good money. Hope my experiance will give some idea to buyers.
