Faber chimney fails to deliver and even to function the simple task of exhausting the oil smoke from the kitchen.
#1. User friendly: On the operational mode everything is short you only need to press a button to start the chimney. You can press the same button 3 times to increase the speed of the exhaust fan as it operate at 3 speed hence press 3 for max and 1 for lowest. There's a light inbuilt to make see if the light in kitchen it not ON. This's very impractical and waste. When light is not ON you cannot see that little button to switch ON this light bulb in chimney so why it has been there.
#2. Durability: No, After using the chimney for 2 months we at home felt that something is off and suction power is little less and noise is more. We lodged a complaint and were informed that we have to clean the chimney vent every month and that's the reason. We saw that is was all black after 2 month of use. It was odd because we do not have that much time to clean it every month and we had it to have ease not to have an additional job at our hand. It was a design issue that instead of ingesting the oil smoke out fast the chimney had is stored inside. The filter had to be cleaned and it is very fragile and costly if you break this then all smoke will directly hit the exhaust blades and it will make more sound. It's mess to clean it and you will surely break the filter as I find and not only this the plastic clip that I had to slip to allow filter to come out is also broken while the routine cleaning drama and that clip does come so I had to improvise to make the filter stick in its place and not to fall on the food below or getting sucked by the exhaust fan above it. Not matter how much you clean the exhaust fan make noise after 2-3 month of operation. and you cannot clean it's blade because of of it's assembly.
#3. Handy: Well it does it's job but it is not durable and doesn't give peace of mind as you have to clean it.
#4. Style & Design: It looks stylish that's why we bought it but it's a disastrous design the smoke is not thrown out fast and it cause enormous carbon deposited on the edge of everything that's there inside and cleaning it is a big pain.
#5. Service & Support: Disappointing, I have not seen as bad service in my life as Faber has. It might be the something in my region but I want to mention that Faber's both backed team and the person that comes to attend complaint are rude and insulting. They's teach you everything as if you do not know how to live and cook. I actually had a fight with the man attending the complain teaching my GrandMother how to cook so that chimney won't have issues in an bad manner.
