I am writing this review based on 2 of my experiences with Faber.

Around 2 years back, I decided to replace my very old and tattered Glen chimney with a brand new, sleek looking Faber chimney. I chose Tratto Sunzi. Almost 2 years after I bought it, it was damaged completely after I left oil to heat in a pan and forgot about it and it caught fire. Later I came to know that this was the fault of the technician who installed it. He had taken the easy way out and installed the outlet into the outlet hole of my old chimney, which was just barely 55 cm from the top of my stove hob. I later understood that it should have been installed at least 70cm high.

So thanks to him, I suffered a loss of Rs. 23000 in addition to the charges for repainting my kitchen. Thank God he didn't decide to take my life as well!

Three weeks back, after my kitchen was all redone, I decided to replace the chimney. This time also(stupid me!) I went for Faber. This time I got Tratto Silk model. Another technician comes in. Inspects the site and says that I'll have to get another hole made in the wall, this time higher up. He pen - marked the exact spot where I should make the new hole and tells me to inform when it's ready. Ok, sounded logical and I got it done.

One week later, I called up the Faber office and told them that the site was ready. The same technician guy comes, that too after 4 days of constant calling. He opens the cardboard box of the chimney. And lo and behold! He says that for the model I had selected, I'd have to make the hole even higher up!

Now that was the last straw! On his first visit, I had clearly told him the model of the new chimney I had bought. Obviously he had absolutely no idea about the measurements and specs of the model, and im assuming, of any model! He should have looked up the model and told me where to make the new hole after clarifying those details. Instead, it's only on opening the package, that he realises that it wouldn't fit into the hole he had instructed me to make! Now I'm left with two big holes in my kitchen wall, and a chimney for which if I have to get installed, I'll have to make yet another hole!

I've never seen such unprofessional behavior from a company like this ever before.

Yes, I've heard rumours that Faber is losing it and isn't as popular as before, but really, I didn't expect them to be this bad!

Extremely disappointed in Faber and their service personnel!
