This is Akhil and I live in Chennai. I have been using one of the very basic aquaguard classic for nearly 10 years without any problem. It was a gem of a product and back then services was not so bad.. As it was outdated by a long way I thought it was a good idea to get a new one.. I selected the Aquaguard Geneus as I thought will go for the best and latest so that it will take some years to be outdated.. It does cost a bomb as a water purifier(22100 with buyback 1000 for old one) but felt safety should not be a compromised... I called up the number from website and told the person to give a demo. Same day I had a person from Eureka Forbes with all pamphlets...
Believe me when the sales rep talks to you, you might feel he is a guarding angel with so many promises and sweet buttery words but that only till he collects the cheque. They guy told me that the equipment will be delivered and fixed my next day morning. He also told me that he will be the person doing all this by himself. He gave me a visiting card mentioning his name and number( Mr.Anandhan). I was so happy and thought that I had done something good for my family that day even though many of my friends told me to stay away from Eureka Forbes.
Next day as I did not see them coming by the time they said they would.. I tried reaching Mr.Anandhanby the number I found on his card.. It was switched off.. And it remained switched off all the day.. Then I some how got hold of the manager and he promised me the delivery the next day morning..Then after making 100s of calls finally product was delivered by 7pm the next day..
I found the seal in the package tampered and questioned them.. They said it done to check the product when they received it, I told them that I will verify it with their manager and said I can. So I verified it and manager said it will be that way only.. "HOW STUPID". Anyways they said it will be fixed my next day and left the house. As expected they did not turn up for 2 days and I kept calling them all the time.. Some ppl never answered the call and the others were always on their way.. By that time I realized it might not have been very good decision buying from Eureka Forbes.
They finally they arrived on a good sunny day and fixed the product. Showed us demo and told us to use only after draining first 14 litters of water.. So we drained 14 litter and they all of us had our first glass of water..It tasted as good as our tap water... I felt no difference drinking from out tap and the same water coming out of the so called most advanced water purifier.. By the time I wanted to call them up and inform this water was leaking from all direction from the Geneus.. The whole kitchen was messed up... They came back like 4 hours later and checked it system.. I told them to check the TDS Levels and it was as same as the input water without any difference.. But I was shocked even if RO did not work , water passing through so many so called most advance filters should have made some difference but I was wrong.I was promised the replacement the next day and I am still waiting.. its such as disappointment, I regret very dearly going for this paying so much.
The a(after sales service) is **pathetic, they only keep blaming on each other and no one is there to take responsibility.. AVOID Eureka Forbes at all cost, never be fooled with their marketing teams promises.. They know marketing very well but zero Customer Service.
