This movie is based on the autobiography of Sushmita who lives in Kolkata & who fell in love with a Afghan guy & eloped to Afghanistan. Manisha Koirala, my favourite actress plays the main role of Sushmita.

Her husband paints a rosy picture of Afghanistan before taking her there. After reaching that place, Sushmita realises that she has been hoodwinked. Her husband has a second wife which he had not disclosed earlier. This comes as a shock to Sushmita who ponders her next move.

She tries to escape several times from her husband's home but she is located & brought back by her in-laws to protect the family honour. Finally, her uncle helps her to get back to India after getting to know her real feelings.

Manisha Koirala has played an excellent part as the girl who is trapped in a meaningless relationship. The film has good pace & music in the first half. Where it fails is in keeping the momentum going & building up the story. It becomes all too predictable in the end.

Newcomer Nawab Khan seems convincing as Manisha's husband. Music by Babul Bose & Vanraj Bhatia is okay.
