Love - a feeling, a passion, a compassion, a joy and a sense of being. Often flowing through a river of dreams and thoughts and finally reaching the stage of undetachable care and concern.

If you like someone and know the reason why you love him/her, its Crush. If u love someone and still wonder why you like him/her, its Love. No better definitions for love can be found out from any dictionary in this world.

Love, more expressed when far away than when near, can be lifted to a level not expressable by some songs rendered the finest way it can ever be done.

Here my efforts are to pen down some of those finest songs and as a person I am, I am inclined more towards those classical hits by Rafi, Kishore etc. So obviously this selection will come from those rendered by them.

So often have I experienced an evening with lots of disappointments and when you miss someone on top of that, its really a hard time. Just imagine that mood and a song surrounds you.

So here comes my First Choice 1 : Tum Muje Yoon Bula Na Paaoge.Sung by my all time favourite Rafi, From the movie Pagla Kahin Ka. It more deals with a broken heart, yet I take it the way to be a small seperation between the two. The song leads you to a world, a world of flowers of love and buds of care. I am more a kind of addict to this song. You get a feeling that its about you thats being sung. Fantastically rendered and really soothing with soft surs raised at some levels, but I think its more of the style of Rafi's singing. Lyrics penned by Hasrat Jaipuri.

Love is all about promises. Love is infact itself a promise. A promise more kept than broken. My next stop 2 : Jab Koi Baat Bigad Jaaye.Sung by Kumar Sanu, from the movie Jurm. Music is rendered by Rajesh Roshan and lyrics by Indeevar. The song is in itself a promise. It says Jab koi baat bigad jaaye tum dena saath mera ohh, ham navaaz. Fantastic lyrics and great style of music. Kumar Sanu has done a fantastic job along with Sadhna Sargam. It talks about the promises of love and takes us to a world of relieved senses. Soft yet strong, thats about the promises, lyrics and the music.

There is no end to words when you start describing your love. Its more exciting when shez not around. Singing about her in her absence is a thrill in itself. But when its to make up for a fight, you get the best one. Next. 3 : Aapke Haseen Ruhk Pe Aaj Naya Noor Hai.Sung by Md.Rafi, from the film Baharein Phir Aayengi. Lyrics by Lalji Pandey popularly known as Anjaan, and music by OP Nayyar . Now, there is no limit to describing the song, a completely soft song and the stops made by rafi during the song at some instants add to the super brilliancy of the song. The thoughts of a loving heart is exposed here.

Eyes talk the language of love, in 4: Jeevan Se Bhari Teri Aankhen.by Kishore Kumar, the love effect is felt as much deep as felt by the previous song. Both have common feature of describing your love. I purpously added both coz both are sung in different styles by the two epitomes of indian music. Music by Kalyan Ji Aanand Ji, Lyrics by Indeevar and from the film Safar.

Those wonderful evening, I think of you, wander in your thoughts, pick the stones around the park and a song breathes in my lips. 5: Yeh Shaam Mastani. Those wonderful moments unfold yet again with this song. The wonderful moments of love and life. Under the voice of Kishore Da, this song has some uplifts and downstream path and the song is not as simple as to sing it as to hear it. Its a song which rejunivates your mind and senses and your heart fills with some feeling unexpressable. Lyrics by Anand Bakshi, Music by RD Burman and from the film Kali Patang.

Love is eternal, so are the words that emerge from a loving hear. The decade of letters passes yet the love stories remained. 6: Likhe Jo Khat Thuje.from Kanyadaan by Md. Rafi is a treat. A treat enacted by Rajesh Khanna. The song is a rare raag and the song was sung in a typical bollywood manner by Rafi. It is a song which reminds of the love of mid 70's or early 80's.

You are mine and only mine and I have reasons to justify that, even the gods know them and thats the reason they have sent u, sent just for me. 7: Kabhi Kabhi Mere Dil Mein.from the film Kabhi Kabhi, is one such song which remains one of the most popular hits and even today this song can be found playing all over the world. The record breaking hit songs from the film, sold the maximum number of cassets in the year of release and its not the end, even today music shops keep the stock. The song sung by his majesty Mukesh, is one which deserves this place. A yash chopra number one picturisation and the plot of song along with the lyrics by Saahir and music by Khaiyyaam adds all ingredients for a top quality song.

The sky is the limit and when you can wander on the limit without ties, then the only companion you would wish for is your love. 8: Neele Gagan Ke Tale.makes you wish for just that. The love song by Mahendra Kapoor, the king of 80's had great offerings for us through this song. Fantastically sung, this song has come miles and why not? Its the mood of the song and the lyrics that catch us. Lyrics by Saahir, Music by Bombay Ravi and from the movie Humraaz.

Rainy night, lonely heart and when Love happens, the joy know no bounds. 9: Zindgi Bhar Nahi Bhoolegi Vo Barsaat Ki raat. The voice of Rafi Saahab yet again comes alive with this song. The song which was a huge hit in those days however dont have much listners today. I say that because I have not seen the song in much of the cassets which states Hits of Rafi. Anyways, the soft music and the ghazal type singing of Rafi has given this song some kind of rare softness and life.

The lonely days, rainy nights, are all gone. 10: Tum Aagaye To Noor Aa Gaya.by Kishore da and Lata ji is can be explained in no other way but was a sheer work of excellence together. The soft music, great lines and the style of singing. This song describes the love at heart in a manner felt more and more Frank.

Many songs like Suhani raat dhal chuki, Mere mehboob tuje meri mohabbat ki kasam etc remain unmentioned. I am very sad I cant mention about each, but unfortunately if I sit to list all those, then certainly a day isnt gonna be enough.

The song certainly are not ranked here. Its just a list of 10 songs I have always felt listening to again and again.

Even in the olden days and now, there is no much spotlight recieved by the lyricists. So I have taken care to specify the name of the lyricist against the one which I know. I am of the belief that a music and sound are not the only factors which keeps a song alive over years. May it be a rhythamic song or soft sentimental one. The lyrics plays its own parts.

You may or may not agree with my choices because I believe there are lots of songs sung and left by Rafi, Kishore, Mukesh etc, which I have not yet heard but might be more beautiful that those listed. So if you have heard a better song pls dont forget to inform me the same. I would love to add them to my personal collections.
