Guys, elitmus got some reputation because of the fact that it conducts the most difficult test(tougher than CAT) and also because it conducts the test in the most transparent and honest manner. They not only verify the candidates profile but also his educational credentials and so on. Yes they have SET OF ARROGANT EMPLOYEES for replying to your queries and job alerts. Besides other bad part is that the test is too tough to crack, TAKES FOREVER FOR THE RESULT TO COME UP and in mean while when you try and get in touch with them they would SHOW THEIR ATTITUDE AND ARROGANCE. If you come across such Morons, just give it back to them. Remember it is the companies that are giving you the job and in fact elitmus is earning from you and the company and so they DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO EVEN BEING SLIGHTLY RUDE TO YOU.
Now let me discuss about how elitmus operates and what expectations one should set from them. Firstly, do not attempt this if your are not a fresher out of the college with at least 70% in aggregate or 7.5 CGPA. By Fresher I mean just a gap of maximum of 1-3 months from the date of pass out. This is the safe zone am talking about. There has been instances and exceptions to this but be aware and informed that out of the safe zone, you are banking on your luck. Have a good percentile record in the elitmus to get any calls. The differentiator is that if you are from a reputed colleges like IITs, NITs, VITs then you might crack a good job which you might have missed in the campus placements. Few companies like NI- National Instruments, Weblog, Supra and other start-ups prefer candidates from these companies. However, if you are from NOT SO reputed college then you should definitely take this test because if not anything, 1000-1500 is worth your risk. Also, I have seen in my personal experience that people from average colleges after clearing the elitmus got opportunities in companies like Accenture, IBM which hire in bulk for salary around 3.25 Lakhs Per Annum. And then I have seen them grow in the company to get transfers and postings in the US and Europe. I guess I have made it clear how it works here. Candidates from average colleges should aim for bulk hiring and try and clear them. They may start off slow but of course you can grow later.
When it comes to experience people there are chances for a job but not as much as for freshers. There are very few job postings for experience people and ABSOLUTELY ZERO CHANCE for people who had crossed 9-12 months after their graduation.
Now for the NON TECHIES: Sorry guys but this is not just the right platform for non-techies. They never had any jobs till date for any management graduates.
One piece of advise for students and job aspirants is that they start appearing for the test right from 3rd year of their courses instead of the 4th year. It would not only give them ample time but also you would get in the right mode and that zone to crack that test and interview. All the best Guys!
