I had been to ebony before for a lunch buffet and I had no complains at all that time.

The bad experience occured when we planned for a dinner. We were a group of 3 people and a friend of mine was hosting the treat(poor boy!). We were very hungry and though we had placed our reservations well in advance, we could only get seated indoor. Ebony has a great ambience outdoor than inside the resturant. As, there is nothing special inside, rather a bit too cramped.

Let me start with what we had as starters "Thai fried prawns", it was kinda sweet and the prawns were dipped in jaggery and it took me 2 days to get over the taste(I mean it was sooooooooooo bad). We followed it by Ceaser salad which was again pathetic. And not to forget the prawns costed 300 odd bucks and the salad was close to 150.

After a horrid experience with the starters, we had rotis and a chicken gravy and a panner gravy, which was very  normal and nothing so special for us to pay about 250 odd bucks for each gravy. Finally we had, "London fish or fish london style", not sure of the name, again overpriced, salted fish  dipped in bread crumbs and fried, it was really bad again. Surely there is no taste.

Finally we had Mudaliar prawn biriyani, which was 350 odd bucks, which was quite good to taste.

For the dessert we had chocolate fondu, it was just chocolate sauce, a very small quantity indeed and few pieces of fruit. Not enough even for one, but 3 of us managed to eat it. It costs about 180 bucks.

Finally we were left with a grand cheque of 2000 odd bucks. Dont you think its too much to pay for a group of three?

I can just say there are better places to enjoy the moonlight, maybe a small party at your terrace would be much better than shedding so much money.

Please by caucious on what you order. Thats all I can say.
