My experience with Easyfix has been horrible for the following reasons


1.When I booked the call on February 8, first I was told that the plumber will visit at 12 pm. When I contacted plumber he asked about the work profile and told me that he will come with the material required purchased. When I prohibited him from first purchasing the material he lost the interest in the work(for obvious reasons as they get a CUT from the traders ranging between 15 to 30%) and said he can come only in evening or next day morning.


When I contacted the company back the plumber visited at 2pm, keeping me waiting for more than two hours.


2.The plumber, who was actually a contractor, came along with a plumber employed by him and finished four tiny works(changing flush pipe, tightening of the two taps and changing of the kitchen sin outlet pipe and cleaning of choked outlet of basin) in 50 minutes, for which he charges Rs 750. I was told that changing the flexible tube used to wash in toilet cost me Rs 100, tightening of two taps Rs 150, cleaning of choked pipe Rs 300 and changing of plastic outlet pipe of basin Rs 200.


This was a shock for me as my regular plumber employed by our company would charge hardly Rs 300 to Rs 350 for such type of work.


3.What I was told that the charges are high as the service was Three Layered, which involves the commission to the contractor and to the Easyfix instead of sole plumber who works for you in routine case.


4.I also realised that the'loss' incurred by the contractor due to my refusal to allow him to buy material was'recovered' from the heavy charges levied.


5.To my surprise, I was told by the Easyfix executive that no receipt is given or the rate card is maintained by the company for such works. I was told that if I wish to take a reciept it will cost me 15% extra as taxes.


THIS CLEARLY MEANS THAT CAMPANY EVADES THE TAXES MEANT TO BE PAID TO THE GOVERNMENT.


Also, by not maintaining the rate card, it also denies to maintain the transperancy.


The contractor who was supposed to intimate me about the estimated charges, failed to do so for which company has assured me an action.


6.When I raised all these issues with the company by shooting a mail, there was no reply from them.


7.I also found that the contractor and plumber visiting the houses have no proper identity card of the company. Which means the company plays with the safety of the members of the family they visit.


About Service


8.Even after charging high, the quality of work was so poor that he had to visit my house on two consecutive days to re-fix the pipe of the basin he changed. This also caused a great inconvenience to us as we could not used the kitchen basin for three days.


The complaints are attended at their own timings regardless of the convenient time to the consumer.


Conclusion


THERE COULD NOT BE AN ALTERNATIVE TO THE PLUMBER AVAILABLE NEXT TO YOUR HOUSE AND IS IN ROUTINE CONTACT. HE DOES NOT COME WITH THREE LAYER EMPLOYMENT SYSTEM AND EASILY AVAILABLE FOR POST REPAIR SERVICES. HE IS MUCH CHEAPER.
