I was in Bangalore between 15th to 22nd and booked this cab to go from Hennur Cross to Badami House closer to cooperation circle to take the KSTDC'd packaged tour. While booking for the 1st time, they said if you use easy cabs for 4 rides, the 5th ride will be free (up to Rs. 500).


Even though I saw so many bad reviews, we planned to use this cab for 4 time to travel between Hennur Cross to Badami house and use the 5th ride to Bangalore Airport.


Each time apart from the meter reading, they charged Rs.50 as convenience fee and ++.


Except my 3rd trip out of the 4, all the other drivers were very rode. 1st driver refused to give me my balance  closer to Rs.50 saying that they charge extra for convenience fee. In a hurry I gave that and later while going through the receipt in detail I found that the receipt amount already includes the convenience fee.


For the second journey, I wanted to be vigilant on this due to my first experience. We booked the cab to be present at Badami house at 10.30 pm to go home after returning from our packaged tour. During this time we got sms from them saying the cab details and  a quality assurance that if they do not provide the service on time, the next ride up to Rs 500 is on them.


However the cab came late, where I have to wait for 20 minutes with my wife and 2.5 years old child on the road. On reaching our destination the driver printed the receipt and asked for Rs.400. I took the receipt and saw it was only Rs.360.


For being asked, the driver said we have to charge convenient fees. I said "see... it is already added in the receipt". Then he showed the meter and said "I came at 9.50 and have not turned the meter on for waiting charge... so you have to pay for the waiting charge" I said "I only asked you to come at 10.30 and you were not there at 10.30 but came 20 minutes late where we have to wait on the road". For which he said I came at 9.50 and went to have tea since you were not there. I am a person who normally tip the cab drivers but decided not to do so for this person because of his behavior. I paid only according to the meter and got down. He has not even helped us to off load the bags, but showed his rude face.


The 3rd driver was OK. To the same place the 1st two drivers asked for Rs.400 but this time the receipt amount was only 230 and 7 to 8 Km less.


The worst part commenced from the 4th trip. I asked the cab to report at 9.30 pm to go home from our return from the packaged tour. We all were tired due to the two continuous tours we had from KSTDC to Mysore Ooty and Medikari. They sms the booking details, but on arrival we searched for the cab and there was no cab.


While booking for the forth time, we inquired about the offer of 5th free ride, the customer care person said the 5th ride only up to 500 Rs is free and we were OK with that because we can pay less for our airport trip. However on arrival on the Sunday night, the cab was not there and we called the customer care and the person said due to traffic the cab will reach in 10 mins. However after some time we got the sms saying the following "Dear Customer, we are sorry that we could not process your booking this time. We assure your next ride up to Rs. 500 is on us. Plz refer booking ID A for booking. Now we are helpless.


Since we traveled from Coorg we were already tired. Have to feed our 2.5 year child where her milk is already over and now they have cancelled that cab. We again called the customer care and they assured for a cab in 10 minutes. we waited call the customer care and each time they said the cab is on the way and will reach in 5 minutes. Finally the cab came only after 1.5 hours and they sms a new booking ID for this time. Until that  we have to wait on the road in from of Badami house. This time the driver was so rude, where he could not speak English and I have to call some one to explain our destination. Even though we faced much inconvenience, we have to pay them the convenience fees.


Now, here only we experience the cheating of easy cabs. first they said that I have not done 4 rides. But I did all the 4 booking with the same mobile phone and still have all the four receipts. Then after going from one by one they agreed of the 4 rides but said I must have got a promotion code and need that. We said we have not got any code so far so please check and send us the promotion code.


During this time a number of time the phone was disconnected by them and left on engaged tune. There were so many arguments. Finally they said that I can't get the promotion as I did a cancellation on Sunday night  there was a cancellation and due to that I can't get the offer. We explained that the cancellation is not from our side but it was due to their mistake. Again I quoted their other sms saying "Since they could not meet my booking. My next ride up to Rs. 500 is free." After several argument, the customer care person said he will follow this and come back before 2 pm. Later on inquired the customer care person said that to get the offer, there should not be any cancellation from our side as well as on their side. What a cheat is this. If they say there should not be any cancellation from both side.


They can easily cancel from their side and refuse the offer for all the clients. During this time we also made our 5th reservation to the airport at 5.00 pm. But until 3.00 pm there was no communication about the offer nor on the airport hire. After 3.00 pm we called fast track. We used fast track in Chennai and their service and well as the driver behaviors are very good. Again here, the fast track came on time and the driver was so polite and took us to the airport safely. Compared to the rates, the fast track rates are cheaper and they do not add any other fees such as convenient fee like easy cabs.


I have just described my problem with easy cabs in a short form. but we spent much time in dealing with the customer care. Even though they took my airport reservation, because of the issues, they did not process this booking as well. Never use easy cab. They charge more, their drivers are rude (3 out of 4 we use) and they cheat! I have used fast track which is good and there are several other cabs as well. In the easy cab home page they say quality, timely, GPS navigator, etc. but nothing. For the same points of travel (4 times) one person took only 10 KM and other 2 took 17 KM.
