I visited the hospital when my regular ophthalmologist was on a vacation. Once a while, I have a weird redness in the eye with burning sensation. This is due to my night shifts and spending hours in front of the computer. One of my friends suggested I go to Agarwal’s.

When I visited the hospital, the first impression was bad. The floor inside is dirty, the upholstery on the furniture were soiled and the hospital bore a dull look. Very much unlike the typical eye hospitals. They made me go through a series of tests, including a ’’Culture test’’ where they almost tore my eyes apart with cotton swabs to obtain samples and finally asked me to go back the next day. The following day would be a ’’silicon plug implant’’ for which I had to shell ten thousand rupees!!. I had already spent 1500 for the stupid tests they carried.

The silicon plugs scared me as I was 25 and they said the plugs would be part of my life due to the dryness in the eye!. It was evident they were trying to sell me an idea as well as the silicon plugs when the manager (Yes!) in charge of the hospital claimed he too has silicon plugs in his eyes which no one can make out!! I rushed out of the hospital after shelling almost 2000 rupees never to return again!

When I visited my ophthalmologist after he was back from his vacation, He had a suggestion to make “Never go to a healthcare center that advertises’’!. He gave me two eye drops ’’Artificial tears’’ and ’’Chloredex’’ and advised me to take sufficient rest in between work hours. I was cured in 5 days and it cost just 150 rupees!!

So Iam wondering the number of innocent victims this hospital cons every year! Never NEVER visit this hospital.
