After a long time a simple and quiet movie is in town. Two girls from extreme parts of the country, from different religions and both in love in their own way yet a drastic similarity exists- their faith in their beloved. The advertisements say that this movie depicts as to the extent one can go for love. I do not agree. It should be the depth of love that cannot be measured. A faith from an innocent heart makes one's love immortal and is a sufficient fuel for rest of the life.
This movie shows the love of two girls in a balanced manner. One cannot say that Zeenat was more visible on screen than Meera. I will go a little further. The movie is not only about their feelings for their beloved but it is their faith and respect for each others feelings. This movie certainly negates the famous saying that ' a woman is biggest enemy of woman'. Women make not only good friends to men, they are far better friends to their own s*x.
They, if they want to, can go the extent of supporting each other and care more than anyone in their lives. I cannot forget the scene where Zeenat's hand protrudes out from the train, inviting Meera to a new world, to a new life. At this moment I remember my impromptu response. I said 'Run, Meera run' . And lo, Meera started running. My eyes became wet and ......... I have no words to explain.
After Iqbal, Kukunoor has hit the charts with the 'Dor' of his vision and understanding of the subject which he wanted to show. Keep it up. Hey ladies, you must see the movie and just watch an envious look on male faces.
