After the success of ''Tere Naam'',its producers are back again,with ''Dil Ne Jise Apna Kahaa''.This film has many things going its way.There is Salman Khan,in this film,and the actors` name,is enough for a film.Salman Khan`s name is there,and there is full guarantee that the film will work.Other than that,this film also brings back the hit pair of Sallu and Bhoomika Chawla,back.The music of this film is also already being appreciated.So,in short,everything is going in the favour of this movie,but will its producers recreate the success of ''Tere Naam'' again?
THE FILM:
Orion & MAD Pictures. and Sunil Manchanda`s ''Dil Ne Jise Apna Kahaa'',directed by Atull Agnihotri,stars,Salman Khan,Bhoomika Chawla,Preity Zinta,Riya Sen,Helen,Rati Agnihotri and Renuka Shahane.The director of this film,Atull Agnihotri (remember him????),was also,once an actor (?),but he failed as an actor,and so after so many years he is back in the news,not as an actor but as a director.He is also Salman Khan`s brother-in-law and Sallu once said about him,that he is even a better director than a brother-in-law.What a great thing to say about someone!But,has Atull proved Sallu`s statement,about him?
THE CHARACTERS AND PERFORMANCES:
1.Rishabh(Salman Khan):Rishabh professionally,is a partner in a media company.He has everything from success to love.When everything is going so perfectly alright in his life,he suddenly loses his love.Will he find his love again?Salman Khan,has started taking acting seriously.He has performend very well,in all of his films,throughout the year.Be it ''Garv'',''Mujhse Shaadi Karogi'' or ''Phir Milenge'',he has performed very well,in all these film and now this time,too he does full justice to his role.The role of the decent and sober,Rishi,suits him very well and the actor has left no stone unturned to give this role his best.
2.Pari(Preity Zinta):Pari,is a doctor by profession and is also Rishabh`s love.Due to an accident she loses her life and with it,she also loses her love,but she doesn`t want her love to be lost in the world.She wants him to live a good life.Will her last wish be fulfilled?Preity Zinta`s,role was supposed to be a guest appearance,but then her role was extended.As Pari,Preity Zinta also performs very well,and in her death scene,she has done an excellent job.She also shares a good chemistry with Salman Khan and she looks very good,in this film,too.
3.Dhani(Bhumika Chawla):Dhani is a very simple and intelligent girl.She has many dreams in her eyes and many wishes in her heart.She always tries to remain happy and finally,she falls in love with someone.That someone is RISHABH.Will Rishabh,who lost his love,will fall in love again?Will he fall in love with Dhani,too?Bhumika Chawla,gives a wonderful performance.Her face expressions are very natural and her dialogue delivery is also very clear.While watching her,you`ll not feel as if you`re watching a film star called Bhumika Chawla but you`ll feel as if Dhani is a real character.Her innocent looks and her girl-next-door charm result in a brilliant performance.
Others lend adequate support.Others lend adequate support.Ria Sen,as Pari`s friend doesn`t get much scope to showcase her acting skills (and there is no need for it,too....we already know about her acting [?] skills),and she should seriously do something about her voice.Believe me,her dialogue delivery is worse than that of Daisy DuckRati Agnohotri,is her usual-self.Helen,looks very cute and she has lots of screen presence,even till now.She does a good job!Renuka Shahane,also acts well and lends an able support.
THE STORY:
Rishabh is a successful partner of an upcoming media company,where as his love,Pari,is also a very successful doctor.Both of them are madly in love with each other.They are both married to each other and dream of living happily ever after,but maybe destiny has some other plans for these lovers.Death comes between,their love.Pari dies in an accident with two wishes in her heart.The first wish of hers is that Rishabh establishes a hospital for the poor people,who cannot afford to get treated and her second wish is her love`s happiness.She doesn`t want Rishabh to remain sad throughout his life.She wants Rishabh to spend a life,filled with every joy.Pari explains Rishabh that life goes on and now it depends on him,whether he will live in his past or in his future.While Pari is dying,her heart goes to Dhani,during a heart transplantation.Dhani,is a very sweet and a simple girl who has gone through from some harsh moments in her life,too.As she has Pari`s heart,inside her,her heart also skips a beat for Rishabh.Her heart,also falls for Rishabh.Her heart?Or Pari`s heart?Will Rishabh fall in love again?Will Pari`s last wishes be fulfilled?Will Dhani also get Rishabh`s love,in return or will her love be called a one-sided love?
THE WORK OF THE CREW:
Atull Agnohotri,does a good job,as a director and is he a better director than a brother-in law,that I dont know but I can at least say,that he certainly is a better director than an actor.He has handled some scenes,well.The scene where Pari`s accident takes place and she is going to die,is a well-executed one.The light moments between Dhani and Rishabh and how they get close to each other are very well handled.The climax also has lots of drama and emotions to offer,so here the director succeeds,but there are some boring scenes too,in the film,which are a complete waste of time.The first half moves at a slow pace,and keeps on boring you,all the way,until Pari`s accident takes place.Screenplay is good,but the characters seem to be a bit confused.Rishabh looks totally lost and confused.He always maintains a distance between Dhaani and himself but in the end,accepts her.You wont understand that whether he does so out of pity or out of love.The script seems to be original and the basic story of the film is also very simple.There are many light and entertaining moments,in the film,which keep the viewers pleased.
