Yes, I am addicted to Diet Coke. I usually drink Caffeine Free Diet Coke (except in restaurants since it is extremely rare to find one that actually servers the Caffeine Free version of the drink.

I use to drink Kool-Aid and Coke a lot and then sometime after moving to California (when I was about 14) I tried this (sorry I can't remember exactly when after that) and was instantly addicted to the taste. In fact I have been drinking Diet Coke for so long that I really can't remember a time when I didn't see bottles sitting next to the fridge waiting to be put in or cans around my room.

You can drink this anytime to refresh you. The taste is very refreshing and works for me anytime I am thirsty.

The taste to me is very clean and clear and I don't get an after-taste like I have with other diet drinks (Tab, Diet Pepsi, even Diet Sprite). Now I find that regular drinks contain way too much sugar for me to be able to drink. Even Diet Pepsi seems to have a lot more sugar than Diet Coke (so if that is too sugary this is something to try).

Since I love Diet Coke so much when I go to a restaurant and they only have Pepsi I look at the waitress very strangely at first and then ask for water. I even found a grocery store out in Riverside that only sells Pepsi products, well I stopped going here completely until last week when I was told they are selling Coke products again.

I heard once that in cake mixes you can also replace the oil in the recipe for Diet Coke and it actually turns out fluffier. I have not tried this yet but I did hear this from a friend that I do trust and I plan on doing this next time I make a cake. If you have tried this than let me know what happened.
