Its Hrithik all the way! If there is ever a movie that should win an award for 100% gloss and glamor with minimal content (as in script) Dhoom 2 would win it hands down!!

Its the same Chor-Police story, and a majority of the audiance will be more impressed even awe struck by the chor (aka Mr. A - Hrithik) than the cop (aka Jai Dixit -Baby B) who is pretty much relegated to a supporting actor status.

Jai and Ali (Uday Chopra who is now a cop) have a major mission- to capture the "cool and calculating" international thief - Mr. A. There is Bips (Sho) as they call her who is the male version of Abhishek (no-nonsense serious cop) who is also working with them. Then there is Sunehri (Aishwarya) who is the self proclaimed second best thief after Mr. A. She decides to join hands with Mr. A so that they could outsmart everyone and continue stealing and making a name for themselves around the world. Intially Mr. A disagrees, as he does not even trust his own shadow, but later on he falls for her charms and falls crazily in love (what else would one expect after seeing Aish gyrating to crazy kiya re)..The two join hands and decide on their next big plot:To steal the world's oldest coins. So, there is a location change and we move from Bombay to Rio. All this time, you are wondering what happend to tough cop Sho....she is no longer seen. (Wonder why she does not join Uday and Abhi at Rio?).

But audiance will want more of Bips..so what does the director do?? Idea!!- a double role. Bips's twin sister Monali. This one however is ditsy and dressed in the skimpiest of outfits leaving little for imagination. She does not understand Hindi when Bachhan junior speaks but does when Uday explains her stuff in Hindi and half baked English. So, what happens? The two burst into a song in the beautiful beaches of Rio and Uday dreams of settling down with her.

In the mean time things are getting serious between our chor and chorni as well and right before the major "chori" Mr. A. finds out that he had made the biggest mistake by trusting Sunehri as she was really helping Jai Dixit and conning him.

So, he says that he would rather be killed by his Sunehri than the cop and gives her a gun. The two go back and forth trying to shoot each other. Ofcourse Sunheri realizes how much she truly loves Mr. A and the two kiss and make up. She switches sides and decides to go with the Imaandar chor rather than the beimaan cop. So Mr. Cop is left hanging when Sunheri does not signal him after the coins are stolen, so he could catch Mr. A. red handed. (There were numerous opportunites where the chor and police met earlier, but somehow they end up chatting or sharing a cup of coffee because Mr. Cop wants to catch Mr. Chor red-handed).

Finally, there is a bike chase which is well shot and a ridiculous ending, with an even more ridiculous stunt scene where Abhishek jumps without a parachute and lands exactly on Hrithik.

The ending is more of an anticlimax, the chor suddenly has a change of heart and runs a restaurant now with his sweet heart. The cop lets him go, after all its a hindi film and love is more important than law.

As mentioned earlier this movie rests completely on Hrithik's shoulders. I would say he has got the best scenes, and almost an author backed role. Adi did try to give the movie a Hollywoodish look. It brings back memories of the old classic "the day of the jackal" where the protagonist changes his look ever so often. What looks ridiculous in Dhoom 2 is that the audiance is expected to believe that sporting a goti somehow hides the asli chehra of Mr. A in some of the scenes.

The action scenes are well shot and all the actors (except Abhishek) seemed to have worked on their looks. Hrithik, I believe has looked his best so far in this film. Aish has looked gorgeous, but still needs to work on voice modulation. In general performances by the cast is mediocre.

Over all, there is no logic to many of the sequences and the songs are really not worth mentioning (except to some extent the title track and Crazy kiya re).

I am sure visually the film is feast for most guys and does entertain. Just leave your brains at home and have a blast. Its a Yash Raj film, and as expected, production values are great. Worth Watching once.
