First of all, Yash Raj Films may give the biggest hits but they do not make the best films. I feel Hum Tum and Kabul Express are the only two films that deserve to be blockbusters. Of course Hum Tum was only a hit and Kabul Express is struggling but may pick up.

We know that Dhoom and Dhoom 2 are different from their usual films, but that does not make them brilliant movies. I'm not saying they are not good, because they are but does Dhoom 2 deserve to be the biggest grosser ever in the history of Indian Cinema. I do not think so.

I have been patiently waiting for this film for 2 years, since it was first announced. The reason being, Hrithik Roshan. I have heard they are not casting him in Dhoom 3, so I have completely lost interest in the Dhoom series now, because Hrithik was the shining light in this film.

Basically, Hrithik plays an International Thief, Mr. A or Aryan, who has done impossible robberies all over the world and his next target is Mumbai. In Mumbai, Ali (Uday Chopra) has been promoted and he is Jai Dixit's (Abhishek Bachchan) right hand man. Shonali Bose (Bipasha Basu) also plays a cop.

While in India, Aryan meets Sunehri (Aishwarya Rai), a thief in her own right. She has actually been planted by Jai. Aryan takes her to Brazil, with Jai and Ali following them. Shonali does not come as she injured herself in an attempt to capture Aryan.

While in Brazil, Jai and Ali stay with Monali (Bipashaagain), Shonali's sister. In Brazil, Aryan tries to train Sunehri into a full international thief, so they can commit a big heist.

The music by Pritam is good. The best song, Touch Me, is picturised very badly as Abhishek's dancing is very bad. My Name is Ali could have been edited, it was not needed. Crazy Kiya Re was also boring, that could have also been edited. Dil Laga Na was good, Hrithik's dancing was great. Dhoom Again (Hrithik Solo) was the best picturised song of the film, and I think Shaimak Davar should win the award for Best Choreography.

Aishwarya Rai was very annoying, the most negative thing about the film. I think they should have just got a B-Grade actress to play her role, she could have played it better. She has proved she is not a great actress like she is touted to be by the great Indian Media! Abhishek Bachchan was not interested in the role, he was just plain average, he proved in the film that he is a media made star. He was completely overshadowed by Hrithik. Uday Chopra carried on his act from the first film and was very good. The funniest scene was when he finds out that Abhishek has planted Aishwarya to capture Hrithik. Some people said he was not on form but I beg to differ, I thought he was entertaining. Bipasha Basu was very good in the first half, the writer made a big mistake because he did not develop Shonali's role properly. Bipasha as Monali had nothing to do. Why oh Why, did they not let Shonali come to Brazil with Jai and Ali.

Now to the heart of Dhoom 2, Hrithik Roshan. He has proved that along with Aamir Khan, he is the best actor in Hindi Cinema. He was terrific. There are no words to describe his performance. Hrithik is the main course of the film, while the others are side-dishes. Hrithik has proved that he can play any role, be it, a Terrorist, Mentally-Challenged Man, Confused Young Man, Superhero and Villian. He has carried Dhoom 2 on his shoulders, his dancing was amazing in Dhoom Again and Dil Laga Na.

Overall, the film does have repeat value due to the stunts and Hrithik Roshan. The film has grossed an amazing 68.24 Crore Rupees in just three weeks. It is only 1.76 crores away from Gadar's record.
