I had been to this temple when I was of 15 years of age and been to this place again Last year in the month of April with my family. This temple is situated in Tamar 60 km towards south from Ranchi city in Jharkhand state. This temple is on the Tata – Ranchi highway. This temple is believed to be so old temple and quite famous in north India.
This temple is dedicated to the avatar of Goddess Durga. Goddess Durga statue is quite attractive and so big in height and most important thing is that in this temple Lord Durga is having 16 hands usually they have 8 hands but this statue is so unique and I believe this is most religious place here in this state. This temple is believed to be only temple where, all six priests who is known as Pahans, performs the rituals and offers prayers towards the Brahmin priests. The architecture of this temple is brilliant. You will find six temples of goddess Durga in this temple. This temple is also known as van devi. There are so many stories about this temple. You will find different and unique flower in the compound of this temple. On Tuesday and Saturday there is big crowd of people visit this place. There is a restaurant nearby the temple so you can have lunch after your Pooja. This place is easily accessible from all kinds of transport.
Public transport is available from Jamshedpur or Ranchi. You can visit this place by your private vehicle. I like the beauty of this place a lot and I will highly recommend this place to everyone in my family and in my friends circle.
