I Lost it.... Review on Dealing with Cancer

Some lives can’t be saved….I lost it

I start this up praying for the recovery of all cancer patients and wishing no family will face this disease in their life.

And than there were Bodies deprived of the basic needs of Food and water standing outside ICU, several Hopes waiting for a miracle, Eyes waiting to see their loved one again, Ears to listen to their voice one more time.

And then there were doctors counting the number of dead bodies, dropping their shoulders, waiting for god to cure the patients. They have a well planned speech also for the patient’s family which runs as “The patient was suffering heavily, it’s an end to his sufferings and you should accept it as we told you in advance. There is no cure.

And than there was a quote“Cancer is Curable” **all over the place.

But in the end there were ONLY bodies below those quotes lying in peace after losing the battle of life.

Cancer is curable….I read this quote on every wall and every Door of Dharamsheela cancer hospital. But after 7 months I realized some words are never meant to be true. Some stories don’t have a happy ending. Some fights are not meant to be won. Some hopes are there to be shattered. Some breathes are supposed to end. Some lives can’t be saved and some diseases can’t be cured.

I have seen the best of the doctors or rather I say living money making machines shattering so many hopes with their hands everyday. I have seen doctors turning into astrologers and predicting lives of hundreds of cancer patients. Some of them get six months, others 9 months and the lucky one survives for a year.  But all of them have one thing in common; they all go through the pain of medicines, syringes, machines, tests and whatever their Devil’s Man(Doctor) has for them. Calmly waiting for the day when they will have no pain, no sorrow, no hope of getting well, standing tall on their feet and getting cured. The day of flying in sky. The day of giving tears in the eyes of their loved one’s. The day to loose this fight and accept the God’s invitation to Heaven.

How many doctors in this world can claim that they have saved or tried to save a patient dying slowly suffering from Lung Cancer in advanced stage? A patient who suddenly realized his meeting with God is near.  Cancer is a kind of Death in which the patient dies every second, every minute every hour he breathes in and out. The fear of death is always in his mind. But some heavenly souls never show this and walk away with a smile.

*Role of Doctors:

*I have seen them all, the best, the experienced, world renowed etc etc. If you look at their visiting cards you will feel like you sitting with GOD, who is going to cure you. But when they speak and open their mouth you will realise soon what they are trying to say. If you are diagnosed at an early stage than they will assure you of your recovery but if they meet a patient suffering from terminal cancer than they don't take much time in predicting his/her life. They then start telling what book and experience says. Above all they will not let you go as they know this dying fellow can add millions to their pocket before meeting his death. I have seen them all and I hate them all. My advice only is to get treated by a doctor who doesn't take your case as an astrologer but as a doctor, trying to increase ur breathes for atleast a few months.

What a Family should do to give courage to a soldier fighting a losing battle:

1) Cancer patients are very depressed they need someone to understand their pain and sufferings. Don’t let them loose the courage to fight.

2) Cancer pain is the worst pain god has ever created. Be with them as their strength.

3) Give a cancer patient time, care and love and love and love…… You never know when he is going to leave you.

4) Don’t get treatment from doctors who behave like astrologers predicting the patient’s life and doing nothing but what medical book says.

5) Cancer is curable only if diagnosed in first and sometimes in Second and Third stage. Don’t let patients know the stage of their cancer and try to avoid showing them their medical reports.

My last quote” I didn’t fight to get well, but I fought for my family and their hope for me getting well and seeing me on my foot again”. Now its time to meet God, waiting for me in heaven. This battle was one sided I just enjoyed and waited for the day to accept the defeat with a smile. I am one of the soldiers winning the battle even after losing the life.
