We have been on vacation to Manali from 11th to 15th November 2007. We were staying at de vivendi resorts; Manali. We were 6 people; booked 3 rooms in cottage. We have taken MAP package.
The experience with de vivendi resorts is very bad. The room size is the concern. The rooms are so small that you can’t move around. Seeing the room at first instant; I called their Delhi office and asked for refund. In fact it was shocking to see the room from inside. The hotel(why they call it resorts) looks ok from outside but not at all maintained. It even lags in basic amenities as well.
They have very bad hot water supply. Their electronic giger just provide 2 buckets of water and that also we need to wait for 45-50 minutes. First day itself we faced power cut problem. The power was fluctuated and cut for 5 times in morning itself. The restaurant people were only somewhat good people in entire hotel. But lacking in manpower. It was taking more than hour to process the order.
The hotel is very poor in all aspects. Their marketing office is located in Delhi. They just are nice in committing anything. They have promised us for free chocolate in every room, It was served once only and it also very low in quality.
Overall the hotel is very poor in every aspect. I strongly recommend not going for de vivendi resorts.
