I was travelling from Mumbai to Bangalore. I had done so multiple times. And each time was hell due to the rude auto rickshaw fellows, crowded buses and costly taxis. So I started searching if there is any chance I can get a motorcycle on hire in Bangalore.
I stumbled upon DVK Biking on google and gave them a call. And they immediately told me that they have an array of bikes ranging from 110cc up to 225cc. I chose their top end Karizma ZMR which costed me Rs.4500/- for a period of 5 days.
They also asked me for a security deposit of Rs.12000/-. I was skeptical but I decided to trust them and transferred the rental amount to their bank by NEFT to confirm my booking. I also had to pay a 5.5% VAT extra.
On reaching Bangalore, I took the airport shuttle which dropped me 500 meters away from DVK Biking's office in Kodihalli, Bangalore. I reached there and to my surprise, they were not some local mechanic shed but a well organized office, a registered company, with warm people.
It almost took mt 30 minutes to complete all the formalities. They take care of their bikes too well and so they check each and every part before giving it to the customer. With some form filled, and declarations signed, I got the bike. The bike was less than 1 years old and was looking fabulous. I took it for a test drive and it was just awesome.
The next 5 days in Bangalore was a breeze with the bike with me. I also had to submit my original Driving Licence with them. On returning the bike after 5 days, I realized that I saved money as I avoided taxis. It may be slightly costlier than autos but was 100 times more convenient.
I also got to know that they had smaller bikes which start from Rs.450 per day. On returning the bike, my security deposit and DL was promptly returned back to me.
It was such a convenience. The bike was reliable. The people were genuine. I would certainly go back to them on my next visit to Bangalore. Hope, by then I can hire a Busa or a Harley from them!
