I bought a LG HT924 SF a few weeks ago. The first 2 days of usage were nice. On the 3rd day, the subwoofer started cracking, making mysterious noise and occasionally going silent. The radio never worked.
So, I tried calling up LG support and got their call center. The call center was polite, and promised me that I would get a call from the service engineer within a day. So far so good.
48 hours later, no call from service engineer. Tried again. Another polite call center employee, same response, no service engineer for another 48 hours.
Getting irritated, called one more time, was told that the call center is forwarding emails to some Micro services service center. Got a number and was asked to call them directly. They said they never received any email from the call center. After a few minutes, they said that they did receive an email. But providing service would be "difficult". No explanation why.
Tried the call center number a fourth time. They recognized my cell number and told me that my complaint had been registered on oct 30. They gave me the number of a customer service officer. Some Latha something or other. The lady has switched off her cell phone.
So the moral of the story is that : If you want a substandard system, with a cracking sub-woofer and poor customer service then go for LG HT 924 SF
But then maybe you dont

I researched the LG site and found a cell number for Micro Services to find out why no one is responding to my calls There was a land line number also which never worked) . When I called it up the guy who picked up the phone said that he never received a notification from LG . He gave me another cell number to which I forwarded the SMS which I received from the LG call center. So someone came at last today and checked the system.
The sound card has to be replaced apparently. It will be done in next 3 to 4 days. Will post if and when something happens.

Soundcard has been replaced. And the system seems to be OK. However this is not an experience I would care to repeat. Avoid is my advice
