I think the most complicated issue in the world right?? Ahh..no actually I dont think so..know why?? coz my mom is a women also and so is urs!!!

This is my first review and I thought about writing on this thought provoking issue..why?? because I Can!! This review is on a real life story and deals with the gender discrimination which is subsiding gradually but is still prevalent in the Indian Society today..In short this review is for the "Oh I wish it was a boy child" kinda people.

There lived a man named Roshan in a village near Kashi with his wife Anjali, they were expecting a child. He wanted a son but his wife had no problem with a baby girl. The time for the delivery was fast approaching and she was trying to put into his mind that having a girl child was no matter of shame.

She got admitted in a small nursing home and the only one in that village.Roshan was waiting impatiently outside the delivery room, the doctor came out and congratulated him for having a baby boy!!! he felt for a moment that he has been crowned the king of the world.A man was standing next to him and looked really upset after hearing something which apparantly the doctor told him but Roshan was least interested in enquiring about his grief as he was indecently happy that moment.

Roshan came to know that the man who was standing in melancholy in the hospital was his new neighbour who has a girl child, and Roshan confidently  concluded that as the reason for his grievances.

Roshan named his son Rohan and the neighbours named their daughter Arwa.Ten years passed and close relations developed between the neighbours and became like one family.Arwa was adored by everyone and mixed pretty well and Roshan thought of realising that there is no difference between a girl child and boy child.Roshan even told Anjali that if they had a girl he might have loved her much more than he loved Rohan. It was that moment Anjali reavealed something that was earth shattering!!

She said  that she had delivered twins and that the other baby was a girl who died the moment she came out of her womb.

*Roshan: Lady dont vex the vessels of my brain..you're telling me that you hid this thing from me for a decade??

Anjali : Roshan at that time ur only aspiration was to have a boy..and it wouldn't have had any effect on you that time.

*Roshan regretted and tears rolled down his cheeks, he hugged his wife and it was understood that he realised his misconceptions and he started looking at girls and boys with similar eyes.

But ..but..but.. the truth lies somewhere else .Actually the girl child was not dead but Anjali had generously given her girl child Arwa to the neighbours who had lost their child ..and that was the reason for the other man's distress.

Anjali did this in order to wipe the tears of the tragic couple and to teach Roshan a lesson later in life..and for that moment make him happy by handing him over a boy child only.

Eventhough Arwa his daughter was in front  of him he would be silently mourning his daughters death and his foolish conceptions.

This world is really an expert when it comes to gender discrimination and good old India holds the pole position. Its good to see that the new generation doesn't support it and I hope that you Msians too are against it!

Waiting for your views on this true story..about my cousins Arwa and Rohan..
