I never thought of writing a review, but my last trip to Coorg went as planned because of the information I collected from various reviews written by people who has already visited coorg. Now I decided I should write reviews on tours so that others would get benefited like me.

On searching the website on Coorg hotels, we found that Coorg international in the best accommodation inside the town. [If you have your own vehicle, you can choose to stay in some plantation home stays.] Though its a bit costly [Rs. 2600 per night including breakfast and dinner- real good tasty food ! worth its cost.]

We (me and my husband) started our trip from Bangalore. We took late night bus (KSRTC - rajahamsa) at night 12 and reached madikeri at 7am. As soon as you reach madikeri bus stop, you can book the return ticket in the KSRTC counter there,if you dont have a return ticket. We took at auto to the hotel , which costs 15rs.

After checked in the hotel, we freshed up and we started to nisarghadhama. We came to the bus stand and we took a bus to Kushalnagar [45 mins journey]. On the way the driver stopped at the entrance to nisarghadhama, its about 2-3 kms before kushalnagar. Nisarghadhama is not a proper bus stop, so you need to request the conductor to stop for u .

At nishargadhama, we spent about 3 hrs. It has boating (very small round) , elephant ride, swings and tree top huts. More than all this, playing in the water was the most enjoyable one. We had lunch there (lunch was not bad).

At nishargadhama entrance, we took an auto for 40 rs to drop us at Bylakuppe, the tibetian monastery. It was really great. One should never miss that place. We spent about an hour looking around the statues etc. On the way back , we took an auto for rs 30 to drop us at kushalnagar bus stop. Took bus from kushalnagar to madikeri. We reached madikeri at about 5pm and we took an auto (10rs) to Raja's seat (a small park which has a valley view). Nothing exciting about this park ,its just another park to spend the evening. Due to lack of time we missed Dubare elephant camp.

Late in the evening we came back to hotel and we had a good dinner. Next day morning we wanted to cover talacauvery and abbey falls and do some shopping in the evening. So morning we took a bus from madikeri to bagamadala[1 1/2 hrs journey]. There are no direct busses to talacauvery. You need to take a bus to bagamadala and an auto to talacauvery (up hill about 8 kms). At bagamadhala , there is small temple (kerala style temple) and trivenisangamam (3 rivers joining- though u can see only 2 !)

From bangamadala, one can take an auto for rs.100 (up and down with waiting time of 1/2 hr ) . The roads uphill is very pathetic. At talacauvery , there is a small pond which is the birth place of cauvery). On the way back there are lot of shops that sell honey. Back to madikeri by bus. When we reached madikeri, it was late afternoon. So we took and auto to Abbey falls (costed 150 to and fro - no other choice to go to that place). From the entrance of abbey falls , one need to walk down a private coffee plantation for about 5-7 mins. One cannot take bath in falls but can play with the flowing water from falls.

Back at the hotel in the evening , we spent some time swimming in the pool and we had a good dinner. next day morning we did some shopping (spices, coffee and cherry) and we took and afternoon bus to Bangalore. Reached Bangalore by 8pm.

The trip was a very enjoyable one. Since we traveled by bus, we could see the people and their culture and habits. This place is too close to nature.

I have provided all necessary information that one might need. I will try to make my future reviews better.
