Let's Talk Sex Baby

One of the biggest sexual problems in India is lack of open conversation about sex between partners.

I am one big proponents of female sexuality and have indulged in a lot of intercourse(verbal talk guys …. no naughty thoughts please) with women across the social strata. Be it my bai or friends or even some elderly ladies belonging to respectable families they just seem to be dumbstruck when it comes to discussing their sexual anxieties with their partners.

FIRST SCENARIO

My bai says that her man comes in(literally) whenever he has the urge and when he is done with turns over the other way and snores all night. No sweet nothings, no foreplay, forget even one decent line before making it out. She too is unaware … nothing wrong she feels. After all, sex is the man’s prerogative and a tool for procreating.

SECOND SCENARIO

My friend has just got married … three months ago. Her’s was a love marriage and the passion between her then boyfriend and now husband was so overwhelming … we too could feel their intensity. But my friend preserved her virginity for marriage. So far so good. But now three months into the marriage she is a feeling sexually stifled.  They do have sex and fairly regularly at that, but the problem is that their lovemaking is routine and staid. Her husband is a considerate guy overall and looks after all her needs except the libidinal ones. Why? Simply because he does not know what she wants. Not his fault entirely. I have told my friend to be explicit about her needs. Come on, if she can bare all in front of him, can’t she be verbally more communicative.

I use this space to implore everyone – please be sexually explicit in your needs. Your partner is not God almighty. Please express yourself. If he/she does not understand tell him/her in clear terms. Tell him/her about your wildest fantasies, make him/her caress you exactly the way you want to be touched, make him/her discover your erogenous zones.

The simple point is communicate. You just cannot lie on your back and expect miracles to happen.
