I arranged a trip from delhi shimla and manali during jan. I have been instructed to pay the full amount 4 days before the commencement of the tour.
Day 1 we reached delhi airport where the driver has to be waiting. But instead I was waiting there for an hour with my 3 yr old child. After a lot if calls to the coit representative mr.mukesh the driver came we reached shimla by 6pm without further fuss. We were expecting to meet by the coit for hotel checkin and welcome. But none turned up though the office is couple of km away.
Day2- we were ready by 8 am as the driver told us. But the driver came only by 9am. Again couple of calls about the driver whereabouts.we went to kufri enjoyed the places. There was no help from the driver so we googled and made ourselves comfortable for that day.
Day3- again asusual the drive delayed by 1hr we enjoyed local sight seeing and while dropping in the hotel driver insisted us to be ready by 8am as it will be long trip to manali.
Day4- called the driver at 7.45am that we are about to checkout.we were waiting for about 1and half hour in the road.came at 9.30. Since I dont want to spoil the mood I kept quite. Continued our long journey to manali reached at 5pm.
Day 5- should have been a trip to rhotang pass and solang valley. Since the rhotang pass was closed we were about to continue to solang valley. But the driver took us to some other place ghulab. without informing us. After reaching when I enquired him he told that there is no snow in solang valley.so I believed him. After reaching hotel I enquired the locals about the solang, they told that its not true and the solangvalley is fully covered with snow.
Day6 -local tour went with some problems. I told about the solang valley to mr.mukesh of coit. He told that he will talk to driver about that. But no he didnt.
Day 7 - we started from manali to delhi. On the way the driver made many stops fir his smoke. I let him as he has to drive for 15hrs. But he stopped in bilaspur hospital to see someone and made us to wait for 45minutes. I lost my patience as we have to catch 8pm flight. I didnt show my anger to him as I dont to want turn the driver against us on the departure day. Again he was going at 70 km speed so he covers only 50km per hour. Come on. . I am not a regular driver but even I cover a distance of 100km per hour in NH. But he was driving slowly with his buddy driver who came along us and I got totally irritated withhis driving as I had to sit for a long time. So at the next stop I rested for a long time in the restaurant eventhough the driver asked us to leave. But I didnt as I want him to go fast and I want to reduce the sitting time in the car. But his buddy went. We started 44 min later and now he is driving at 100km. He was making calls frequently to his buddy. But he went long ahead of us that made ourdriver go faster and reached the airport.
Once I reached my home I wrote a mail mentioning the above to the coit till now I didnt receive any reply so friends please avoid them
