Enjoy It :-). Review on Collateral Movie

You come home tired from work, and want to simply relax. You are not in the mood for a comedy, but are no fan of mindless violence either. A hostage drama is certainly one of the last things that  you will find refreshing now? Right! Unless the movie happens to be Collateral.

It's one of the few films that even people who do not like typical hollywood thrillers(DieHard for example), or even philosophical movies will be hooked on to. The movie starts with a good pase - not too slow, not too fast, and continues like that for most of the time it is playing. It does get a bit slow and predictive towards the end, but even that does not jar the interest which watching it produces.

The story revolves around a taxy driver and one of his clients - a contract killer, who has a very detached and also practical bend of mind. The later hijacks the taxi, and the driver, and goes ahead on a killing expedition, which is supposed to leave no traces behind. An LAPD policeman who seems to be only one to get what is going on and a lady attorney, who travelled with the taxi just before the contract killer does are the other two main characters.

The movie has action, light movements, serious philosophy, and thrill, but in perfect balance. Not ones does the movie tend to become too action or philosophy oriented or comic. The blend is perfect and entertaining. If you want to relax with  a nice movie, try this one. It will refresh you, make you think, tickle you, even get your adrenaline flowing, but with a wonderful grace.
