CNN.com is a the main website for the Cable News Network based in the city of Atlanta, Georgia in the United States of America. It is most likely the most popular channel competing up there with MTV and ESPN. The channel has been on for more years than I have lived and is owned by billionaire Ted Turner, whom also owns Time-Warner.
CNN is a news site that provides media coverage to over 100 countries around the world covering news from every continent, live scores and updates as well as weather from 10,000 cities.
The Website
The website CNN.com is very easy to use and is filled with a numerous amount of information for users to browse through. News will always be there before you know it. You can view any news topics over past years and even search articles written by the writers of the CNN website.
The site is one of the fastest to load on the web, besides Yahoo.com and Excite.com. It is very easy to locate what you want. Neatly categorized you can search your way through :
WORLD
US
WEATHER
BUSINESS
SPORTS
and many more ....
The top story will always be on the front page and for the last couple of months it seems to always have been somethin from the Middle East .... those rats!
You can view scores from all around the world from different sports. Hockey, Baseball, Cricket, Soccer, Tennis .... they are all there to view scores, statistics, standings, player profiles and other necessary data for the average sports fan.
You can naviagate through thousands of cities in order to see the weather that is closest to you or that is incoming.
A special feature that I love is the Breaking News. A person is able to set up their email to receive breaking news coverage of any important thing around the world. I immediately ran upstairs to the television when I found out that there had been anthrax sent to different people in the United States, it was such a shock and I was immediately alerted.

The site is an excellent information source for news around the world as well as news internally within your own country or state. You can check out the weather, read past articles, check out the sports column and even check out some alerts. It is a great site to investigate to find out whats happening on the planet. An A+ resource for me!
