Run away if you can!. Review on Club Mahindra

Hey guys, I have just checked the issue resolved written on this review. The issue was not resolved and there is something fishy about Club Mahindra doing this.

I am surprised one day after my filling up the form at the petrol pump, I got a call from Club Mahindra. I cant imagine they getting desperate so much so! But it happens with everyone who fills the form. I came to know later.

On the call they ask you for some specific things, which they ask everyone:

1- "Sir, you have won our Lucky draw. You are among the 25 couples who have been selected. Congratulations!!!" However, later you come to know that everyone who fills the form wins lucky draw. But they make you belive that only you have won it.

2- "Sir, please come to our office and collect your free holiday vouchers for 2 nights that you have won". However we understand that behind those 2 nights stay there are lakhs of rupees that we have to pay.

3- "Please come with your spouse 'ONLY' to avail the offer." Ok, let me see.

I must say that either they are diebetics, and want to give away some of their blood sugar. Or maybe I will get diebetes for taking too many sweet talks from their agents.

Well, We reached Ansal Plaza, Delhi on specified date. There we were asked to fill up one form. Then asked to wait. Ok.

But at the same time there were other couples also sitting on other round tables and we started listening to their conversations. I am lucky to have done that, I must say. Those poor couples were all looking miserable. I feel very sorry for what they were going through at that moment. All men looking miserable. Women were all tired and bored with the agent's talks and wanted to sleep. The talks were like this:

1- Telling couples about various membership options and forcing them to buy it. Their selling skills are one of the best. Club Mahindra does invest in sales poeple.

2- Asking customers about the their car model and persuading them to buy a mahindra car instead. Can you imagine poeple buying cars when they have gone to collect their so called 2 nights stay free!!! But again their sales is very good at that. They can possibly do that also.

3- The sales poeple were not interested in what the couples are thinking. Some of them were not even listening to them.Some were Yawning(mostly women). Some were looking at other tables and the plight of other couples. But Sales agent will continue with their agressive conviction. Very good to see that. Rarely you find such sales poeple with great skills and just right agression required.

4- But in all this we didnt hear any agent telling couple about their free 2 nights at the resort. So What with that lucky draw and winning holidays crap. Well I told you I would get diebetes. So lets not talk about that.

5- Do they think poeple are fools and would fall for their product worth lakhs of rupees. No they are not Mr. Mahindra.

We got worried that we will be caught for another 2 hours if we sit there. We didnt want to go through that and buy their stuff. Till now no agent had come to us and it was already 10 minutes we were sitting there and observing all this. So we decided to run away. As we were in a mall, we told the lady at the front that we need to go to rest rooms and we are coming back in 2 minutes. She agreed, But we never went back. We headed straight for the lifts..to the basement..and flew away.

Later when I narrated all this to my colleagues and friends, they were all laughing. All of them. Well, they had also become a fool at some point of time with Club Mahindra. But all were lucky enough to escape them. The company's image is very poor in every one's eye. No one is willing to buy their packages/memberships. Afterall giving lakhs of your hard earned money is not easy thing to do. Poeple look at this company as a very down graded one. They call this company names and all poeple think they are very cheap. Its pity how a big company has made a joke of itself.

I know Someone from Club Mahindra will comment on this and offer me a solution. But excuse me, I am interested in none. I am not interested if they offer me 2 nights stay now. I am not interested in Club Mahindra in any ways. However, I must say that they have beautiful resorts at some of the most beautiful places across India. I would definately book one and stay, if I get a chance someday in life.

And I would say I was lucky enough to run away. You may not get that chance. So stay away from them. If it was such a great flawless company then only 17% wouldnt recommend it. It would be more than 60% recommendation. They must realise this before its too late. As we are living in the era of consumer courts and Mouthshut.
