I think culb Mahindra puts in most(almost all) of there resources in the sales only. Other departments, specially the customer support do function a little, sort of. I happen to fall prey to there sales pitch as many others do. They insisted on signing up on the spot, as they always do, but one good thing I did was to ask about the free-look period.
They said I can consider the membership and cancel if I so wish in 10 days. I was told the full amount shall be refunded within 30 days of cancellation request. I was very sceptical about signing up on the spot, but given the free-look period, I tought I'd sigh up and then examine and cancel if required. In that I assumed that its a Mahindra group company and so can trust it to keep its word. Sure enough, as I went through review on the net, it occurred to me that all's not well and things are not exactly what is made out to be in the sales pitch, without giving us time to evaluate. I asked them to cancel the membership in 3 days after I had applied. Now came the surprise.
The customer support person said it will take 2 months time, blatently and unashamedly so. I contested that the contract worded by themselves says 30days, and then she agreed to process in 30 days. The story after is about my repeated follow ups with them and there pushing the day giving some stupid reply, till I finally got the money back after about 3 months of wait. I felt lucky and was much relieved. But that spoke a lot about the people, the company and the credibility. I feel lucky to have come out unscathed, almost so. All please be careful.
