Instead of puting Rs.2,50,000 here, if you invest it in Mutual Funds.etc. you get average 12% p.a. (Rs.30,000). Also you are made to pay another Rs.10,000 p.a. as Annual Maint.Exp in Mahindra.. This Rs.40,000 saved can be used to easily rent a room for 7 nights in any good hotel, that too at your convenience.
Also you have Rs.2,50,000 in your account.
Infact I have seen advertisements offering rooms + all foods + travel for 7 nights at approx the same amount.
So BE YOUR OWN BOSS. Dont get into any fixed commitments; especially not in case of holidays, where you are supposed to be a free bird.
Some of the negative aspects in Club Mahindra are :-
1.The resorts are too far from the city. So you have to incur huge transport expenses while travelling locally. Also most of the times you have to take food in their restaurants, which is not that good.
2.Bad service compared to others in the industry as here you are committed for 25 years
3.No accountability / Responsibity.
4.The same guys who were so polite and kind at the time of explaining the membership, etc litterally change their colours and turn rude while rendering after sales services.
- You have limited choice of resorts and places.
- Non-members have stayed at Mahindra resorts @ Rs.2800 per night, when the market rate was Rs.5000. So whats the use in becoming a member?
