School is an important experience for your child.
Children must be motivated to learn and not forced.
CPS gives your child very basic learning for the most. They do not encourage them to think outside the box. Very dry method of learning.
Also the staff and principal of the school is very ORTHODOX. If you want your child to go above and beyond this is not the place. CPS encourages your child to only memorize lines from the book.
There is no motivation to arts or sports. In fact they do not even have a sports team. There is a lot of segregation between sexes.
Your children may never learn to interact with the opposite sex well. They involve more than they should in a child's personal life.
If you want your child to be able to be out spoken in the outside world, you will not get that here. If you want your child to only and only be a good student then this is the place. As far as staff, for most they are typical and nothing great. There are one or two exceptional teachers, who encourage fun methods of studying for example Ms.Buela.
