Citibank- how I come across this bank? When I joined new company, for salary account, I have no choice as that company was opening the salary account only in Citibank (Don?t know why?) It takes minimum 15-20 days to open the account.


The form filled by customer is always sent to their Madras office then it comes back after checking. It?s very long procedure while in other bank u can open account within 1 week (it?s also long time I am saying).


Also on their account open form, anywhere they are not mentioned about charges they are charging for ATM cards with photo. They are informing about it when they send welcome kit to u. In that on some page, it is mentioned which is also at some corner.


About ATMs, what I say? It is necessary to search the ATM if u wants to use ATM card. I think in the whole Pune city, there may be 12-15 ATM centers, which I think, are very less. When I opened my account, for initializing the ATM card (to check whether it is working or not). I have to search it a lot and then I never use it, as it?s not near.


About netbanking, the site speed is low, you also have to search Login link, then it opens the page, in that it is necessary to enter your ATM card number. Yess, you can create your username which is accessible through your machine only. That is if u r accessing ur account through any other machine, that username is not accessible, which is really headache. Also the site always goes down frequently (The service is currently unavailable).


The options provided in it are necessary to search for using it.


Now the most important thing, even you have selected mail option for getting your alerts, you will never get any mail from them regarding your bank account alerts, but for mobile they are sending it in every week (as they are charging for it). U will get statement only once in the whole year (I read somewhere) where other banks are sending after some period.


One more bad experience ? when I called their Customer Service, the people are talking very badly. They were not answering properly.


Can you imagine, even their employees told that our service is not good. I have gone through this experience. So think yourself before opening account in the CitiBank.


I want to close this account, but I have no choice as it?s my salary account (Is pet ka sawal hai bhai J)
