I am having a very bad experience with the Citibank Banking. I opened the account with them in 2007 and they committed certain services and as soon as our first relationship manager was changed the new relationship managers attitude was as if we are second grade customers and when ever you need services they will just avoid. The services like change of address, addition of signatory, charges on credit card, issue of bank guarantees, share trading services etc. Recently we were busy in the hospital, and there were some cheques which were presented in the account and the funds were short. We have funds in another account with same bank and linked to the account which were more than 500 times the value of the cheque. Every time in such a situation the Relationship Manager used to give us a call.
The recent realtionship manger Ms. Ishita Sharma did not bother to do this and when called to know the situtaion next day she started screaming and shouting at the Signatories as if we had committed a crime having banking with them. Our experience says that the Banks like CItibank are not long relationship banks and only the personnel who have introduced your account will take the interest. Once the first relationship Manager is gone no one is interested in your account. I will advise do not open high value accounts with them. INstead the banks like RBS now I had started banking with is better. There is no redressal in Citibank they will save their people for any wrong they do by one or other way.
