I have been using BPL Rechargable lantern for the past 7 years. I have three of these lanterns and believe me; these have been working just great. Expect for the tubes that I had changed once; the battery has been consistent and superb. During power shut downs, these lamps work for over 2 hours continuously, then I have to switch over to single tube for another 1/2 hour.
Given this, and the number of years it has been working, It is one of the good products to have. I would advice members who are likely to go in for an rechargeable (emergency) lantern, to buy a proven brand instead of going in for cheap local makes which are not reliable. The cost is not too high given the good performance of this product. The only downside is the power chord which is difficult to roll back into the slot and the other is the limited number of models and variations.
