Review: Quite often I have wondered why people choose software other than Outlook Express 6 which comes as a free-ware with Windows XP, Internet Explorer 6 and certain other software I have never bothered to check out. Anyway, there are a number of reasons why I would stick to OE6 and not even switch to Microsoft Outlook or even Eudora. Hence, it is natural that as an individual I would recommend OE6 as the only email software to have. The reasons for it are very straightforward.(A) OE6 allows you not only to maintain as many POP3 / IMAP Email accounts that you can imagine, it also allows you to maintain different identities within the same login as well as stores different locations for different logins too.(B) You can use any HTML page as the background, and you can even use the inbuilt Stationery Manager to create your own stationery.(C) It allows you, like most email management software's to create and edit your email before connecting to the internet to send all of them in one go.(D) Like most email software, it allows you to send to people as normail, carbon copy(CC) or Blind Carbon Copy(BCC). The reasons against are also important(A) You cannot create or send Rich Text Formatted emails in OE6, they have to be either plain text or HTML.(B) You cannot save sent copies of email other than saving them externally between two computers having the same configuration, not even save any thing sent on the web, except externally. But according to me, these three reasons against are not reasons which affect 90% of email senders, only the hard core emailers who do bulk emailing are affected, hence it is Outlook Express 6 for most email users.
