I am in Bangalore, India.I have very bad experience having bought a Johnson water heater. It stopped working in just about 30 days. After repeated follow ups, the service rep shows up and finds out that the tank is leaking. This was shock for me as I was thinking Johnson is a very reputed company. If the company doesn't ship product with such basic quality checks(like tank leaking), to me it comparable to any lesser known or unknown brands.
I had to use lot of tact to get a replacement. Being straightforward or extremely honest, as anybody would normally be, would have taken me may be months, if at all, to get a replacement. However, who knows how long the new piece works.
Now the question is, shouldn't the Johnson company bear the expense of reinstalling the water heater. No, according to that company. "It was your decision to buy and we didn't force you to buy" kind of an answer. Well, I bought it but it failed and hence "you have to pay for reinstallation" kind of an argument is not understood by the company.
Recommendation: Don't buy Johnson water heaters.
