Hiwe though of going over to Jaipur on Janamashtami - Thursday and though we will stay at Chokhi Dhani.We called up a number given on their website, we talked to a person called Devender sharma. we told him we are 2 couples with 3 kids and are looking for a Suite so we can all stay together. He suggested the Haveli Suite at Rs. 7500 + tax. on negotiating , he agreed to not charge taxes. The package included entry to theme park and breakfast. we were quite happy as it seemed to be a good deal.
when we reached, we were told that the Haveli Suite is Rs. 7500 BUT it has one room only. on our insistence that we were promised a suite with 2 rooms, the person at reception , Mr. Hanuman - stated that we can have a 2 rooms suite, but it will cost us Rs. 7500 per room or Rs. 15000/- . we talked to Devender sharma and he said " I did say that it will cost Rs. 7500 and you did tell me that you are 4 adults and 3 children, but I didnt say all of you could stay in that " - Very Funny !!!Then we were told that entry to theme is not included in the package!!
we agreed to pay for the theme park and requested the staff to put some bedding in the living area of the suite so all of us could accomodate in that small space. didn't make sense to pay Rs. 15000 for just sleeping....Horror of Horrors but Hanuman plain refused to accomodate more than 3 people in a Suite !!
Finally we got the number of some senior person called Mr. Raina. dialled his number some 30 times from different numbers, but the man was warned and wouldn't take our call.After a lot of heartburn we left the place. However, it went off extremely well as we found this lovely boutique Hotel called The Saneer. very nicely done and only Rs.1500 per room...the service was brilliant and the rooms were fantastic. Highly recommended. Stay at Saneer, and only go to the Chokhi Dhani Theme park
