Hebbe falls is just few kilometers from kemmangundi, If you are going to kemmangundi then you can also visit this place or viceversa, there are two ways you can reach hebbe falls, either by trekking the route is very tough the falls is located in the mid of thick dense forest & coffee plantation or you can reach this falls through jeeps which frequently run from the near by place.the route is very rough & you will get panick by the way they drive the vehicle, the steep curves, narrow roads, bumpy roads.your body will get well exercise & after getting in that vehicle you will feel that when will you reach the falls & also you also feel trekking would be better than this but trekking needs lot of time & you also get relly tierd off.t takes around almost one hour to reach falls location.
The jeep will leave you a few kms away from the falls you need to travel for about 20-25 mminutes to reach the falls, by this time you will be swetting, as you go towards falls you will feel hw your body responds too the sprinkles from the falls & suddenly you get the feeling of cold.
In hebbe falls, the water falls from a hight of 551 ft, in tw stages, as it is surrounded by dense forest you can feel thefreshness & coldness in front of falls, the water will be lke fridge water, even in summer you will get that much cold water & cold feeling.
Actually we wanted to carry beer botels to that place, we asked for chilled beers, before entering the ghats, he asked where are you going we said we are going to hebbe fall, he replied the water there is so cold that if you keep beer cans in water for about 20 minutes you will get chilled beers, we didnot belived it initially & also we dint had option to carry warm beers as there was no power in that village from morning & we took warm beers & what he said was 100% correct the water was so chilled.We pourd all beer cans in that water & got chilled beers in half an hour.
