This is one hell of a trek. It drains out all of your energy. Makes you sweat like you've done cardio for two hours straight, no breaks. It's only 3.5 kilometres long but trust me, it's worse than running a 10K marathon. The hill is so steep that you would've'almost' slipped off at least four times before you reach the top(and a lot more as you descend.) Buh at the end of it, when you finally get to the top, the heart greets you a warm welcome. A rather misty one if you trek during the early hours which is ideal. At the peak of the hill is the'Heart lake'. A lake couldn't get more cheesy. Calls for a lot of cliched pictures for the couples, I must say. But that's not the only thing the peak has got to offer. The breeze, the view, the peace doesn't make you want to move, not even an inch. It just makes you want to sit and watch, breathe, live.
And after you do spend some time over there, you sure as hell are more than just living, having experienced such beauty. Such tranquility. And once you're done with all that, you can go ahead with taking your cliched pictures and the "candids" for you to put up on your social media, later on, To remind yourself in the future of the time you'd spent there and to make everyone else jealous, of course(Haha. Okay, not that funny.) Buh trust me, you're going to regret it if you leave Wayanad without ascending this marvelous gift of nature
