The train chalukya express travels 6 days in a week to Bangalore from Dadar. On Wedensday instead of chalukya express Sharavati express plies to MYSore instead of bangalore.

The train plies via slightly longer route that is via miraj. the route via guntkal is 5 km shorter and will be another 25 km shorter if Guntkal-anatpur direct route is converted to BG insead of taking passengers via gooty.

the train starts from dadar at 9-30 P.m in night to reach bangalore next day night at 10 P.M. the train is invariable late. it is not possible to double the track and neither it is economical as the track goes through a region which is mountainous especially from Pune-Miraj. moreover the alternative track via guntkal  conects mumbai and pune to bangalore, chennai, Tirupati and Hyderabad a. so it is in the interst of commuters if they give preference to that golden track as then it will be doubled urgently. that track goes through plane region. when that track is doubled 3 hours will be saved.

so I suggest chalukya express be used by travellers who intended to travel to BElgaum, hubli, dharwad, Shimoga. it is extremely convenient train for these locations and it should be left for the benefit of these passengers only. in fact I will advocate that instead of chalukya express let sharavati express to mysore run daily as the track via miraj is really the short route linking Mumbai and Pune to MYsore and mysore is also an important city.  so sharavati express score over chalukya. The onboard facilities are just OK.

the dn train  1017 dn starts at dadar in the night at 9-15 p.m.  except on tuesday . on tuesday 1035 Sharavati express starts  at the same time.Sso Western suburb residents need not toil to mumbai cst..It reaches Bangalore city at  8-45 P.m next day in the night. Sharavati express reaches mysore ( without touching bangalore at 9-15 P.m the next day.on return journey  1018 up chalukya express starts from bangalore at 6-30 Am( except on thursday) and on thursday 1036 up strts from mysore at 6-15 A.m. both reach dadar next day in the morning at 5-50 a.m.
