Make Cathay Your Airline!. Review on Cathay Pacific

Over the past two years I've flown on Cathay Pacific four times and each time was an exceptional voyage. Their service and staff have been helpful and courteous through the duration of the flight.

Tickets

Cathay Pacific offers reasonable pricing for their tickets probably among the middle of the other airlines. For the service with which they provide you with it's a good deal. Also, Cathay Pacific doesn't charge you for headphones or playing cards they give free playing cards if you ask and offer you headphones for you to watch the movies and listen to the music. Also, Cathay Pacific does offer reserve seating unlike other Airlines such as Canada 3000.

Boarding

Usually Cathay Pacific will board children and people who require more time in boarding. Then they will go by the farthest back rows up to the front. However, one time on a trip to Hong Kong they just boarded the people as they came which was inefficient but they managed to be very punctual.

On Flight Service

Depending on the duration of your flight, Cathay Pacific views numerous movies. When I went to Hong Kong which was a 18 hour flight they viewed four movies which we're quite new releases. Also, their stewardess are very courteous and friendly. Theirs more than enough pillows and blankets for everyone to have a comfortable flight. I find that with international flights their are extra seats and they don't mind if you switch seats to make yourself more comfortable.

Meal

Like most airline companies their meal is not as good as a restaurant or can be compared to cafeteria food. Although I do prefer their food over any other airlines. They usually serve rice or noodles with chicken or beef with a dessert. Depending on your flight they do offer complimentary wine and drinks throughout the entire duration of the flight. Like all other airlines you can request vegetarian meals or special types of meals. If your children don't like airline meal it is possible for you to order them McDonalds as long as you tell them before hand.

Timing

Out of my four flights with Cathay they have been very punctual and have never been late. In fact usually on the returning flight home there's a tail wind which makes the ground velocity faster. Although I've never traveled a short flight with Cathay Pacific I'm sure their punctuality and service is just as great as those international.

Baggage

I find many people complain about how their baggage takes forever to reach the rotating conveyer belts but that's mostly has to deal with the airport. The airport is the one that has to bring a cart to the airplane to transport the baggage into the airport and the appropriate place. The one thing that the airlines are responsible for baggage is loss of baggage but I've never been in this scenario with Cathay.
