FROM THE HEART

Aging and the kind of problems each one faces is a mere'FACT' of Life. which no one can escape from.

As is Said:'Everything that has a beginning has an end' And aging to put in a nutshell is a'PROCESS' that each of us go through daily. But the factual aging, that first surround us in our environment is our grandparents. We as young kids always here our parents & elders using the phrase'They are old'. A kind of a respect and the fact'age' dawns as early. We begin to look at them from that very point of view, and tend to be extra careful and loving towards them, which I think most of you at MS will agree too.

We begin to realize that our parents are growing old, when you hear your father or mother say that he is nearing retirement(if working parents) or before an x time should get son / daughter married etc. which are very common happenings in a household. What we need to look at is, that is the time when they need you the most. They have given all they can to give you a much secure and bright future to us. What we make out of it, and how we react to their doings is a test of time for each parents. They hope that their children look after them.

As is many a time seen that some children find it a hindrance to their way of life, and many a times in recent so called modern times tend to show their backs where the opportunity comes for them to look after them in a crisis like some major sickness or some unforeseen calamity. It is the moral duty of each child in the family to look after them both. A classic example of this fact was depicted in the movie'Baaghban' where the husband and wife have to live separately with their children because they cannot afford to keep both of them together, inspite of being rich enough to live a life called SOCIAL. This is becoming a reality in many homes nowadays on some pretext or the other.

What we all need to understand is age needs a lot of attention and time just like a child.  The feeling of negligence is uppermost with age. Yes there may be circumstances when it becomes difficult, but PARENTS(the life giver) himself if shown the door…………….is the worst situation in parenthood, they can survive operations, difficulties, crisis but what kills is the fact that you do not need them.

Well, this topic is felt from the heart and one can go on writing and quoting examples, but just to summon it all up, I could just say and request to all Msians is that let us all make a promise to ourselves that

'WE ALL LOVE OUR PARENTS VERY MUCH AND WILL LOOK AFTER THEM NOT ONLY DUE TO AGE BUT ALSO WITH LOVE RESPECT AND TOTAL CARE ALL OUR LIVES'. AMEN.

(Not to hurt anyones personal feelings please)
