I bought this camera via E-Marketing from JJ Mehta & Sons, Mumbai. I never believed that e-marketing in India will ever be so reliable and fast. JJ Mehta have supplied me photographic goods to the tune of around Rs. 2 lakhs and they have not disappointed me even once.
My last buy was their ''Hot-Deal'' offer of Canon EOS 300 QD, as a full kit, a silver body with matching 28-90 Canon EF lens, Filter, a good V-Shaped carrying case, battery and Manual, all for Rs.18000-00.
The camera is one of the best I have ever used. It is very light and focusing is very silent and fast. The view finder is very clear and one will not feel the weight as a nuisance on the shoulder on long walk in a jungle or rough terrain on missions like bird/animal watch.
The results were good but I could not judge it since the lab people made a mess of the negative while processing. I have this problem with my local labs who are not sincere and do not know their job. Such cameras should be tried with Transparencies (Slide Films) only. The camera kit is a very good value for money.
Canon is always an innovator and now this design of Canon bas been copied by Minolta and Nikon in their Dynax 7 and F55 respectively.
My rating is four star.
