Hi Friends,

Well, I don’t think you will oppose me if I say that purchasing decisions are strategic decisions. In fact everyone of us thinks on a strategic level, follows the strategic management process. Purchasing decisions are backed by reviews from the market rather users, comparative advantages and disadvantages of the likely products available in the market, durability, performance, and offcourse the most crucial cost. When it comes to a low cost product, we don’t always hesitate going for a risk, as it’s not going to effect us very much but when it comes to a high cost product it really becomes a risk and we can never go for it unless we have the sure sort idea about the quality of the product.

Now we come to the specific discussion over here. We are trying coming out of the hanging situation of buy it or not. The data analysis and ratio shows that 60 percent of us today will to go for a second hand car, reason being they are cheap and affordable and at the same place every user can’t afford the expenses of buying a first hand car.  Buying second hand car is always full of risk, you are not sure of its performance, its durability, the efficiency of the engine, and many other things.

Buying a used car is always a risky venture. But there are things that you can do to lessen that risk.

  1. Body rust makes the parts of the car weak and it’s performance decreases so check well before taking any decisions, you can check large body panels, the inner wings and the sills. To check the possibility of the car being met with an accident, you need to observe it minutely. For that, you should check the alignment of doors, varying colour shades on the panel, which indicates that the car had met with an accident; you should also examine the lenses, headlights, indicators, and tail.

  2. Mileage is one of the very crucial things to look for, while purchasing a second hand car. In general, if the mileage is much higher than an average of 10, 000 miles for each year, this may indicate that the car has been used as a fleet vehicle.

Till now, we have been looking at the external parts but many of us do the mistake here we just check these external thing and later on it costs much, so better to check minutely the internal parts as well. You should check for any oil leaks, rust in the break pipes, Make sure that all of the under body sealants are undamaged.

Regular Service of the car is necessary to increase its performance and durability. You should also check for signs that the car has been recently serviced. The air filter should be clean and the fan belt free from cracks and is correctly tensioned.

Lastly, in general you can also check for batteries, internal fitments, and steering wheel. And very importantly, please do not forget to carry along a person from automobile field; he will be better supporting you in your decisions. also note that thw banks only provide loans on the cars being used less and are in a good condition.

These all decisions are based on my personal experience, as I was there with my friend in his purchasing decision. We also went along with a car Mechanic, who told us the truth hidden behind.

I hope, this will make you little confident in your decisions, although we all know that these decisions are based on luck and sometimes we might fail despite of our preparations.

Wish you all the success in your purchasing decisions.

With Luv,

Satyen
