Out of the showroom, I first laid my hands on my new Bullet Electra 4S, and lots of things were running in my mind… Can I handle this beast?! What if I press gear instead of brake?!:(I am used to right side break). Am I comfortable when one on the road stares at me?

I took the center stand with bit effort, and gently kicked…thhuuusss…again and again… but no life. Then I used ‘Self’ to bring it to life(I vowed only to use it in urgency.:) Wwwoooffff….a sound of relief.:) As normal practice, I lifted my left foot from ground and searching for gear! The security guy gave a little grin. I scolded myself and moved the bike slowly beside the showroom lane, where there is very much less traffic. The first feeling… I was totally in a different world! After couple of rounds in smaller lane, now I myself felt that I am ready to hit the main road. I am constantly reminding myself… break on left side. Just 200 meters ride on main road and I am at the signal. The bike stopped and I am struggling to get it to neutral. Goossshhhhh… the green light on… cars behind me are screaming and the last thing I did was… get down of my Bullet and push it to other side of the signal. I just let it on stand and paused for 30 sec, and questioned myself. am I really ready to ride? Next I drove slowly to my home, thanks… its just 2 kms away from showroom.

On the next day morning I woke up early(didn’t really slept whole night:) and took it for early morning ride, actually to get myself adjusted to it. One good hint… I am able to balance the Bullet well(Of course, the Bullet balances itself:). I have to keep on reminding… brake on left side. Now the tough decision… should I take it to office? Afterall who wants to ride the plastic puppy(My previous bike is Pulsar 150) once you yourself own a Bullet. I vowed that I drive cautiously.

I came to road in the morning traffic blues, and riding slowly towards my office…  gaining confidence minute after minute. But the sad thing is, every plastic pep just kicks me from behind and passes.:( I know I am novice here and my Bullet is just in running-in period. After taking all such back butts for one month, now I am a comfortable(yet to become expert) rider and my Bullet is ready to hit 60km/h. Now I am giving back to those plastic puppies’ at least 100cc bikes. I know Pulsar's and Karizma's are not too far.:)

Riding the Bullet is just a feeling one has to experience. The Bullet becomes better day after day and I can guess how my Bullet performs after 50 years.:) I strongly recommend Stand Bull/Electra 4S to get the true feeling of Bullet’ing. Please no fears for right side gear, a novice user gets adjusted in couple of days. After one month you will argue, the gear for other bikes is at wrong side.:):)

I agree with many of our fellow friends regarding the performance. Till date my Bullet never let me down but still there are some myths revolving me about its reliability. That is why I rated it bit less. And coming to fuel consumption, it gives me somewhere around 35km/l in city traffic, which is decent for this monster. As per new pollution norms, a glass wool silencer gives less thump and I am yet to decide whether to go for original Bullet thump or stay with it.
