OK, got your attention. British Airways is a long established company over here in the UK. I have used them for numerous occasions. I'm not a 'frequent flyer'. I'm a pretty infrequent flyer. I haven't been on an aeroplane since summer 2000. That time I went British Airways to Frankfurt from London Gatwick.

The planes are damn near perfection. So, let's have a little look:

STAFF

Really helpful. Being a vegetarian they cared perfectly for my needs, and were very friendly and courteous. Which is what they should be. So top marks on the staffing front.

DELAYS?

I have been a fortunate person, for I never have ever had a delay on a flight. They've always been on time, and everything. So no complaints there.

SEATING

As I have only done short-haul European flights, I have been in economy class on a smaller aircraft. The seats are usually quite comfortable. Their seats are usually either fabric or leather. They are both equally comfortable and provide enough space in economy to sit, read, eat and work both in the traditional sense and in the laptop sense. My fold out seat would have more than enough space for a laptop.

FOOD

Boring, basic and frequently disgusting. Many times I have been served with mushy food. Fortunately they do provide for vegetarians, vegans and people with special eating requirements. Vegetarians and vegans can usually be prepared for if you tell the check in assistant that your a veggie, others should really consult when booking tickets, or eat before your flight so you don't starve on the often disgusting stuff they serve.

IN FLIGHT ENTERTAINMENT

Usually the reserve of large Americans called Bob, the small TV screens have been inserting themselves in BA. I haven't been on a plane with this facility installed. But being a traditionally brought up 'proper English gentleman' and generally hating the stuff they pump out via the gogglebox, I'd plump to bringing your own. Grab a nice long book, or a stack of CD's. Or even a laptop.

IN GENERAL

Seem totally fine! Whenever I have had the chance to use them they have been brilliant. Perhaps because I'm not too picky and don't launch an attack on the management if the drinks are too cold, but they have always seemed good.
