You can't go wrong with Bosch!!!!!!. Review on Bosch Dishwasher

I was quite skeptical about buying a dishwasher since a lot of friends & families weren’t satisfied with their (not Bosch)dishwasher’s performance. But having fed up with truant, quarrelsome maids, I decided it was time I got one.

I bought Bosch Dishwasher SMS40M52EU after a lot of research 2 1/2 months ago. It’s a bit expensive than other brands but it’s the best brand in dishwashers.I’m very happy with it’s performance. It has a large capacity & can fit all my utensils in it. They come out sparkling clean, much better than possible with handwash.To all those still on the fence about buying a dishwasher, I want to say that you can’t go wrong with Bosch.

Just make sure before buying it that you’ve an inlet water connection with adequate water pressure(atleast 10 litre/min) which is the foremost requirement for running a dishwasher. If you don’t have that, make arrangement for putting up a water tank at the adequate height to obtain that kind of water pressure. Since the machine takes from 1 ½ -3 ½ hours to complete a wash cycle, depending upon the wash cycle chosen, it’s not wise or economical to run it with an electric water pump connection.

It’s so quiet that sometimes I forget that it’s even running. I recently got my first electricity bill since I’ve been running the dishwasher & was very pleased to see that there’s no significant change in electricity consumption. Buying Bosch dishwasher was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.

Aug 20, 2013 I’ve been using my Bosch dishwasher for closer to a year now & thought I’d post an update. I’ve had no problems with it & it’s doing a splendid job. I’ve read that a few people have had trouble with installation of Bosch dishwasher since its water inlet hose has ¾ inch diameter, while almost all Indian homes have a ½ inch water connection. It’s nothing a simple plumbing job can’t fix. The Bosch representative that was coming in for installation & demonstration called beforehand to enquire if I’d an appropriate water inlet connection for the machine & with adequate water pressure. After getting the machine, I’d a water tank put up on the highest rooftop in the house & used a 1 inch diameter water pipe to provide water connection to the dishwasher. It provided more than adequate water pressure. I also had my automatic washing machine connected to this high pressure connection & there by cutting its wash cycle times in almost half.

As for the dishwasher additives, it needs dishwasher salt to soften the hard water & thereby preventing lime scale formation. It needs dishwasher detergent to clean dishes. A rinse aid or shiner to prevent any water stain formation on the dishes & giving them a sparkling clean finish. You can also use a deodorizer to get rid of any unpleasant odors but it’s optional. I’d been getting these delivered to me by the local dealer but lately he’d been running short of one item or the other. So now I’ve been buying these online which is cheaper & swifter.
