Good Plot Bad Script. Review on Blue

Am back from watching the movie BLUE.The film is directed by Anthony D'Souza whose previous works have been The Dooba Dooba video of Silk Route (My Favorite Band) and Ripleys Believe it or not!

Its touted as the most expensive movie. Heres what I think about it.

Plot:Sanjay Dutt works for Akshay Kumar in Bahama. Sanjay Dutt knows the location of a sunken ship 'Lady in BLUE' that sank with a lot of Treasure. Akshay wants Sanjay Dutt to explore the ship, find the treasure and make good of it. Sanjay Dutt is reluctant due to the past he shares with the sunken ship.

A very good plot that had a lot of potential but In my humble opinion was not executed well.

Pros:Lara Dutta - Looks good in the movie.All the SongsUnderwater sequences - Well PicturisedBike and other Stunts - Well done, but I didn't like the bike stunt where theres a platform ready for the bikes to jump on a train.. you will know which one I am talking about if you see the movie.

Cons:Dialogues - At a time when Indian Movie audiences are used to normal conversational dialogue in movies. The dialogues of BLUE dont sound like normal people talking.Script - The Plot of the movie was very good and it could have been carried forward with the help of a tight script. I felt the script was not well written and there were a lot of loose ends.

Although some of the scenes in the movie are shot and styled well I feel that styling cannot get the job done without a good script.

Zayed khan was styled like John Abraham. He almost looks like John in the movie.Akshay Kumar looked good and his role was fit for him. Sanjay Dutt is my favorite actor with his movies like Munna Bhai and vaastav. I wish he could have worked on his physique for a movie where he has to be in tight fitting scuba gear.Lara Dutta looked the best. Katrina Kaifhas a special appearance and has the best screen chemistry with Akshay Kumar.

Thats all from my end. The movie is average, watch it for the underwater stunts
